Dispatch is an internal tool for sworn personnel of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. It is not offered to the public, and an account cannot be created without a department email address and an administrator's approval.
What the app collects

Location sharing
Location sharing is off by default and is turned on by you, from the toggle on the call list. While it is on, your position is sent to the department's own server and shown to other approved deputies. When you turn it off, your position is deleted from the server immediately and your unit disappears from the map.
Even while sharing, a position is kept for ten minutes. If the app stops reporting — you close it, or the phone loses signal — your unit drops off the map rather than lingering at a stale location. Positions are not logged historically: the server holds where you are now, not where you have been.
A position taken for a distance or ETA reading is never shared. That calculation happens on your phone and reaches no server.
Who can see it
Only people with a Putnam County Sheriff's Office email address whom an administrator has approved. There is no public view and no way to see a deputy who has not opted in. Wall-mounted display boards inside department facilities show the same call information using a read-only key.
Services this app relies on
- Active911 — the source of the call data itself.
- Clerk — sign-in, using your department Microsoft account. Clerk holds your name and email address.
- Apple Push Notification service — delivers alerts. Apple sees the notification's contents in transit.
- Cloudflare Workers AI — writes the one-line summary of a call. The CAD notes for a call are sent for this; the summary prompt instructs the model to leave out names and phone numbers, and Cloudflare does not train on this data.
- Mapbox and OpenStreetMap — turn addresses into map positions, and describe which part of the county a unit is in when it has left Putnam County.
- Railway — hosts the server.
What this app does not do
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- Nothing is sold or shared with anyone outside the department.
- No location history, no movement trail, no reports on where a deputy has been.
- Nothing is used to build a profile of you or to follow you across other apps.
How long things are kept
- Calls — a rolling 24 hours.
- Positions — ten minutes from the last report, then deleted.
- Your account and device registration — until you leave the department or an administrator removes your access.
Your choices
You can turn location sharing off at any time from the call list or from iPhone Settings, and turn notifications off from iPhone Settings, without losing access to the call list. To have your account and device registration removed, contact a department administrator.
